The Supernova Crystal Part 1

Note: To access the area with this job, you are required to buy a Supersonic Pulsar Transmitter from the NC Mall (it costs 300 NC) or obtain the Electromagnetic Transmitter from the job Aliens! Part 6. The transmitter allowed for Early Access to this area.

Note: You cannot start this Job until you have completed The Story of Trilluna Part 3.

Rewards:

To start this job, go talk to Commander Vixor at The Vernax Horizon.
To get to The Horizon, go to your wardrobe and wear either the wearable Supersonic Pulsar Transmitter or the Electromagnetic Transmitter, then you can get access to Area 27 by standing on the glowing paw-shaped crop circle near Grenn's Barn at Grenn's Farm. This will teleport you to Area 27. Once there, walk to the paw mat ahead of you to enter the spaceship.

The Supernova Crystal Part 1

Greetings, Petpet Park citizen. It appears that my ship has crashed onto your planet. Please tread carefully in here as we try to repair it.

She always preferred to work alone, but I'm sure she enjoys your company. Who knows how long she's been up there on Lunaria by herself?

Go to your wardrobe and wear the wearable Matter Transference Beam or the Materialisation Beam. Use the teleporters in The Vernax Horizon to travel to Lunaria.

Once you arrive on Lunaria, go talk to Trilluna. She is near her spaceship.

I went to great lengths to make sure my wormhole experiment would not hurt anyone. I took so many precautions. And in the end, no one was hurt, right? All the students were returned safely to our universe. But of course no one listened to me. No one ever listens to me.

You're a bright one. Yes, I need the crystal. I have much more need of it than Commander Vixor does. But I'll need your help.

Why don't you just get it yourself?

When my ship reached Lunaria, it crashed too close to the pillars. The security system immediately registered me as a threat. As soon as I try to go near the pillars, the entire thing shuts down.

I see. But I don't know what to do.

Each pillar needs to be activated in order to disable the force field. To activate a pillar, a specific combination of crystals needs to be placed on top. Go on and try it out. Take three Moon Crystals and three Comet Crystals and place them on top of the asteroid pillar. You always need at least three crystals in order to create enough energy.

But I'm supposed to take these crystals to Commander Vixor.

You can harvest some more to take to him. I'm sure he can wait.

As Trilluna said, you need three Moon Crystals and three Comet Crystals. Equip the Sonic Mining Pick and mine the appropriate moon rock formations.

3 Moon Crystals + 3 Comet Crystals

One you have three of each, head over to the asteroid pillar and click on the top cube.

You approach the asteroid pillar.

Take out your crystals.

The top of the pillar opens up as it senses the crystals.

Put in three Moon Crystals and three Star Crystals.
Put in three Moon Crystals and three Comet Crystals.
Put in three Asteroid Crystals and three Meteoroid Crystals.

A computer voice echoes around the pillars. "Commencing activation sequence in 3...2...1. Pillar has now been activated."

Now that the asteroid pillar is activated, walk back over to Trilluna.

Some friend he turned out to be. This is why you should help me retrieve the Supernova Crystal, not him.

Good job. Unfortunately, that's the only pillar I've managed to figure out, so you're on your own for the rest of them. But remember how I helped you. If you do get to that crystal, no one would appreciate it more than I would. That's all I can say, really.

Originally, I wanted the crystal so I could repower my ship. Now that I've lived on Lunaria for awhile, though, I've discovered that I really like it here. It's quiet, serene, and pretty.

However, Vixor's nearby presence has reminded me that I can't quite live in peace yet. There are members of the governing council who thought banishment was too light a sentence for someone "dangerous" like me and wanted to lock me up.

That doesn't sound nice.

Just to make sure they can never reach me, I want to create a force field around the moon. Park residents like you can still teleport to Lunaria, but no spacecraft will ever be able to land here again. Only then would I feel safe. The Supernova Crystal is the only energy source around here that could power a force field that large.

I see.

Think about it, okay? I can't tell you what to do. I can only tell you how important that Supernova Crystal is to me. To Vixor, it's nothing more than another item to help his career stay on track. To me, it determines the rest of my life.

Oh, and if you're going back to Vixor, don't forget to have one of each crystal with you! He's very strict about that sort of thing.

It's time for even more mining! Equip the Sonic Mining Pick to mine the moon rock formations. The materials you will collect this time will be the following crystals: Moon Crystals, Star Crystals, Asteroid Crystals, Meteoroid Crystals, and Comet Crystals.

After you have mined each rock formation, head back to the Commander in The Vernax Horizon.

It harvested some Comet Crystals.

Good. That means all the pillar bases are yielding crystals now. I wonder if the current crystals will activate the pillars?

Trilluna showed me how to activate a pillar.

And how did you do that?

With three Moon Crystals and three Comet Crystals.

Of course! The groups of three create enough energy to power up the activation system. The different types of crystals must work as a code. Each pillar will probably require a different code. Did Trilluna say anything about the rest of the pillars?

She said that pillar was the only one she figured out.

I see. Then we must figure out the other codes as quickly as possible.

Trilluna also wants the crystal.

No doubt for another one of her extreme experiments. The Supernova Crystal could be dangerous in her hands.

She said she was very careful last time.

I'm sure she was. It's true that no one was hurt, but she should not have been experimenting with such dangerous technology in the first place. The theory of wormhole travel states that it's a very unstable method.

Couldn't you guys share the crystal?

Unfortunately, the Vernax Horizon's hyperdrive will require the entire crystal to work properly. Besides, I am sure Trilluna wants nothing to do with me anymore.

I see that doubt has entered your mind. I can only say that I hope you will give the crystal to me.

Of course. Such decisions should not be made hastily. However, let me impress upon you once more how important our mission is. If we do not repair our hyperdrive, we will not be able to meet our convoy on the designated date, and since we are transporting much of the mission's supplies, they will not have the means to carry on without us.
