The History of the Cyodrake King
I am guard of this temple! I await orders from my king.
Tell me more about your king!
Have fun waiting...

I do not have time for chitchat. I must keep watch at this temple.
Can't you talk while you watch?

I cannot be distracted from my task. If you're really so interested, perhaps there is a book out there that chronicles our nation's history. The tale of how our king came to be at this temple may be in there.

Good day, young scholar.

I'm looking for a history book.

Ah, you must have been visiting the guards in the Cyodrake Temple garden. Very little is known of their history, but I have a book that may be of some help.
Good!

This is a history book about the ancient Cyodrake kingdom. Please be careful with it; it is very old and delicate! Unfortunately, it is written in the ancient Cyodrake language, and I have only a rudimentary knowledge of that language, so I cannot help you much with the translation.
However, Admiral Gully has sailed far and wide and picked up many languages in his travels, so perhaps he can help you.

Thanks! I'll go ask him.

Now that you have the two books from Professor Wallington, head over to Tugg Harbour and give them to Admiral Gully so he can translate it for you.
Ahoy, shipmate! Are you here to help me fend off that scurvy pirate Arf?
Not now. Say, Admiral, can you speak ancient Cyodrake?
Fending off pirates is my speciality, sir!

It's a tricky language, but I know a little. What's this? A history book on the ancient Cyodrake kingdom, eh? I remember visiting there many years ago. Very mysterious, melancholy place.
Now I would love to read this book for you, but I'm a little rusty - haven't spoken ancient Cyodrake in years, after all.
Professor Wallington also gave me this translation book.

The missing Cyodrake king!
I remember that legend well! Let's see...here's the paragraph about that.
"Long ago, the land of noble Cyodrakes was ruled by King Quan, a leader beloved by all his subjects. King Quan loved his kingdom just as much as its citizens loved him, and he spared no expense in protecting it."
Ooh, go on.

"One day, he heard of a powerful magical sword. When wielded by the pure of heart, the sword would protect all that the wielder loved. Hoping to forever keep his kingdom safe, the Cyodrake king became determined to find it. With several of his best and most loyal soldiers, he set out to many distant lands to seek the sword.
"For years, his subjects heard vague stories of their king's travels, but the tales became scarcer as time went on. Eventually, even the rumours died down, and there was nothing left but a legend. King Quan and his soldiers were never seen again."
Never say never! Na and Kai might be two of those soldiers!

You may be on to something! How very exciting, to think the mystery of the Cyodrake king may yet be solved. Good luck on your quest to discover the truth!
Don't worry about the books; I'll have First Mate Spivey take them back to Professor Wallington.
Thanks!

Yes, King Quan was very noble and kind, and he protected us well. The entire kingdom loved him. I was assigned to a mission to accompany the king on a quest.

King Quan told us the sword would protect our families for generations to come. He was very determined to find it. We searched so many lands...
But you never found the sword?

No. Perhaps King Quan searches for it still.
