Before I start my research, I must know where this star comes from! Could you take a look through the telescope on Lunaria?
First, though, grab some Fresh River Water from the Munchery in Market Lane. Lunaria gets rather dusty, so the telescope may need some cleaning.

Go to Market Lane, and buy a Fresh River Water from the Munchery. Once you're done, travel to Lunaria, and look through the Lunaria Telescope.

Fresh River Water

You look through the telescope and see a beautiful city in the clouds.

Look for an emerald constellation.
Leave the telescope.

You try to turn the telescope towards the sky, but a layer of moon dust seems to have settled on the lens.

Clean the lens with Fresh River Water.

The water washes away the dust, leaving the lens clear and clean. You look through the telescope to see a constellation that looks like a Gulper, with one star missing.
