Getting the Items
Tier 1
Moon Dust, Star Particles, Asteroid Fragments, Meteoroid Slivers, and Comet Shards can be mined from the different moon rock formations around the Park using the Mining Pick (you can buy one from Petpet Emporium). Equip it from your closet, stand next to the mining rock, hover it with your mouse until it changes to a mining pick and click. Repeat if necessary.
Tier 2 (Crystals)
To get Moon Crystals and Star Crystals, you needed to first get the Sonic Mining Pick by either completing the job The Story of Trilluna Part 2 when it was available, or by purchasing it during its limited re-release in the Petpet Park Mall in 2011. Once you equip it from your closet, stand next to the same Mining Rocks that contain the Tier 1 items, hover it with your mouse until it changes to a mining pick and click. Repeat if necessary.
To get Asteroid Crystals and Meteoroid Crystals, you need to first complete the job The Story of Trilluna Part 3. They can then be mined from the same Mining Rocks that contain the Tier 1 items, while wearing the Sonic Mining Pick.
To get Comet Crystals, you need to first complete the job The Supernova Crystal Part 1. It can then be mined from the same Mining Rock that contains the Tier 1 Comet item, while wearing the Sonic Mining Pick.
Tier 3 (Gems)
Moon Gem, Star Gem, Asteroid Gem, Meteoroid Gem, and Comet Gem can be mined from the same Mining Rocks that contain each one's Tier 1 and Tier 2 items, but you need to be wearing the Lunarian Mining Pick instead of the regular Mining Pick or the Sonic Mining Pick to get these gems.
