Park Activities

There are all sorts of fun activities to participate in at the Park! Activities such as Fishing and Fruit Harvesting are very important, as they earn you free items and food for your Petpet!

Fishing Holes

Regular Fish

The first thing you need to do is head over to the Petpet Emporium and buy yourself an Angler Fishing Rod for 100 Park Points. Once you have it, go to your Wardrobe and equip it to your Petpet. Now that you have something to fish with, you can head over to the different fishing spots, each one having a different type of fish. Below are the fish that are currently available for catching.

To fish, simply walk up to the Fishing Hole and move your mouse over the fish's shadow. Your cursor will turn into a bobber and hook; when this happens, click your mouse. Keep clicking on their shadows until you have caught a fish!

Note: At this time, none of the fish can be fed to your Petpet.

Nickcash Fish

These fish are only available through means purchased via Nickcash from the Petpet Park Mall. Head over there and buy yourself a Jewelled Fishing Rod to catch Island Gem Fish and Fancy Gem Fish, an Alien Fishing Rod to catch Lunarian Fish, a Jiggybug Lagoon Fishing Rod to catch Carnival Fish, or Special Access keys to get access to exclusive zones where you can find Lava Fish and Zombie Fish. (Note: Use the Angler Fishing Rod for the Lava Fish and Zombie Fish!). Below are the fish that are currently available for catching.

Salvage & Junk

Certain fishing holes (identifiable by having the appearance of a dark spot in shallow water) will not give you any fish, but will instead give you useless junk items/salvage. These spots require no tools, and instead of the usual fish bobber icon you will see the hand icon. Below are the salvage items that are currently available to be salvaged.

Food Harvesting

Is your Petpet hungry, but you are lacking the Park Points to buy food? Then Food Harvesting is your easy and cheap solution!

To harvest fruit, you need to first pick the type of fruit you want and then head to that location. Once you find the tree or bush that the fruit is located in, walk up to it. Move your mouse on top of the tree/bush until a white hand appears. Click the tree/bush until the fruit appears above your head, meaning that you have harvested it. The fruit will now be in your inventory. You can harvest as many as you want, with the exception of the fruit inside the School of Nature, which may only be harvested once per day. The table below displays a listing of all the different types of fruit that can be harvested at the Park, and the location where they can be found.

Noodle Collecting

Different types of Noodles can be collected from the Giant Noodle Bowl at the Volcano in Mt. Puka. Just stand next to the bowl and click, you will receive a random noodle!

Chokato Harvesting

Note: The items in this list can only be acquired from the giant Chokato, Clyde, at Grenn's Farm, and only one item can be received per day.

Mushroom Harvesting

To harvest mushrooms, head on over to Bogbottom and find the patches of mushrooms which are scattered around the area. Walk up to them and that same white hand will appear. Click on the mushroom patch until the mushroom appears over top your head. The mushroom will now be in your inventory, and you can harvest as many as you wish.

Sweetheart Berries Harvesting

Sweetheart berries are a special kind of berries because they only grown in the Park in January and February. Their bushes can be found at the Petpet Plaza, and they can be harvested just like any other berry. Make sure you stock up before they disappear, otherwise you'll have to wait until next year to get some!

Popcorn Picking

The first thing you need to do is equip your pet with a Magnifying Glass. You can buy one for 150 Park points at Petpet Emporium, but it can also be received through completing Auntie Twerp's job (she gives you the Magnifying Glass at the end, as a reward). Once you finish her job and receive the Magnifying Glass, go to your Wardrobe and equip it to your pet. Next, head on over to Grenn's Farm and find a Popcorn Plant. Move your arrow over top of the plant, and a Magnifying Glass image will pop up. Hold your Magnifying Glass over the Popcorn plant, to make popcorn!

Claiming Your Daily Cup of Hot Cocoa

Nothing better than a cup of cocoa to get into the winter spirit! Coco will kindly serve everyone a free cup of the best cocoa around the Park every day, so make sure you visit Cocoa Cafe at Blizzard Mountain to claim it!

Cherryapple Tree

Once a day, you can collect an item from the Cherryapple Tree located in the Wallington Courtyard.

Bonk & Bink's Cookie Jar

Once a day, you can collect an item from the cookie jar located in Bonk & Bink's Lair.

Blizzard Mountain Chimney & Marshmallow Harvesting

Once a day, you can collect one item each from the two chimneys (above Cocoa Cafe and Wintery Wonders) and the Cocoa Cafe marshmallow in Blizzard Mountain - all items are obtainable from any of the three locations. You will need the Mountain Climber Pack purchasable for 300 NC from the Petpet Park Mall to get access to these harvesting spots. Wear the pack and step on the peppermint-pattern paw print icons near Cocoa Cafe and Wintery Wonders to be transported to higher elevations, where you can harvest for these items.

Non-Food Items Harvesting

Below are lists of all other harvestable sources that result mostly in items that can be harvested, but not eaten (with exceptions). Many of them are used in different jobs or collections.

Note: The items in this list can only be acquired from a treasure chest at the Puka Beach Club or the Captain's Cabin, and only one item can be received per day (the Captain's Cabin chest can be harvested for both one item and Park Points each day). The Puka Beach Club chest is also able to award Park Points instead of an item on any given day, whereas the Captain's Cabin chest only gives an item when the Jewelled Pirate Hook is equipped and Park Points when it isn't.

Pumpkin Patch Goodies

The items in this list can all be harvested from the pumpkin patches that are appropriately located in the Pumpkin Patch.

Gem & Rock Mining

A fun activity to do at the Wailing Tunnels, the Volcano and Lunaria is mining for gems and rocks. First, get a Mining Pick (It can be bought at Petpet Emporium for 75PP) and equip it from your closet. Certain gems and rocks also require the Jewel Mining Pick from the Petpet Park Mall, the Sonic Mining Pick from the job The Story of Trilluna Part 2, the Lunarian Mining Pick from the Petpet Park Mall or the Mountain Climber Pack also from the Petpet Park Mall.

All you have to do is find the stalagmites (rock formations) located in the different tunnel sections, the volcano and the moon, get close to them and hover them with your mouse until it changes to a Mining Pick and click (see image below). For the Blizzard Mountain gems, you'll need to step on peppermint-pattern paw print icons scattered around the mountain first to reach the mining spots.

The tunnels can be quite labyrinthian at first, but keep this in mind:

-There are two entrances: One is the tower in ruins at Knight's Keep, and the other one is in the Mausoleum. Just step on the paw-printed carpets and you should be on your way (see images below for reference):

-We number the chambers from the one connected to Knight's Keep's entrance to the one connected to the Mausoleum. The Wailing Tunnels (chamber 1) is where Sir Lastahad is located; the Chamber of Gems (chamber 2) is the one where Kirko looks for Amethysts; the Lair of the Bandits (chamber 3) allocates Durc and the other bandits and you can find Carnelians there; and the Spyder Cavern (chamber 4) is Jorguss' home, and has the glowing pool, Glowshrooms and Rubies.

Digging Up Buried Items

There are pirate flag-marked piles of sand, grass and dirt scattered around the Park in various areas. If you have obtained the Pirate Shovel from the job Some Piratey Crafting, you can go to these piles and dig up items!

All you have to do is find the pirate flag-marked piles located in the different Park areas, get close to them and hover over them with your mouse until it changes to a Shovel and click.

Snowflake Catching

To catch Snowflakes, simply stand at the Ice Rink at Blizzard Mountain or on the ice pond at Snowflake Summit (special access required) and click on the snowflake at the center of it (see images below). One snowflake requires the Fire & Ice Wand to be worn in order to be harvested.

Cardcasters Tree

Once a day, you used to be able to collect an item from the Cardcasters Tree located in Mystimar Glen. These items are now retired.

Zombie Marsh Tree

Once a day, you can collect an item from the Zombie Marsh Tree located in Zombie Marsh.

Rottingham Castle Spider Web

Once a day, you can collect an item from the spider web located in Rottingham Castle. Special access is required to enter this area.

The Statue of Casandia

Once a day, you can collect an item from the statue of Casandia located in Celestial City. Special access is required to enter this area.

Celestial City Clouds

Different items can be harvested from the clouds in Celestial City. Just stand next to the clouds and click, and you will receive a random item! Special access is required to enter this area.

Snowflake Summit Ice Sculpture

Once a day, you can collect an item from the ice sculpture located in Snowflake Summit. Special access is required to enter this area.

Mystery House Roses

Once a day, you can collect an item from the Mystery Rose pots located in the Mystery House. Special access is required to enter this area.

Bonbon's Nest

Once a day, you can collect an item from Bonbon's Nest located in Innogen's Tree House. The nest is only harvestable when Bonbon, its resident, is out of the nest. This occurs from 3PM - 4PM NST each day. Special access is required to enter this area.

Pot of Gold

Once a day, you can collect an item from the Pot of Gold located in the Tree Top in Lucky Valley. This area is only accessible when wearing the Lucky Clover Staff from the Mall, or the Lucky Rainbow Clover Staff obtained from a free job. Please note that you cannot be wearing the Lucky Rainbow Clover Staff when you harvest from the pot - if you do you will not receive anything.

Clover Harvesting

These clovers can be harvested from the clover bushes found in Lucky Valley. Each of the five clover bushes can only be harvested once per day, and only two are available for non-paying members. Three of the bushes require the Petpet to be wearing the Lucky Valley Clover Shoes and the one at the top of the tree is only available by wearing the Lucky Clover Staff from the Mall, or the Lucky Rainbow Clover Staff obtained from a free job.

Yarn Balls

Different items can be harvested from the yarn balls in Mellee's Clucken Barn. Just stand next to the balls and click, and you will receive a random item!

Clucken Bucket

Once a day, you can collect an item or Park Points from the bucket located in the Counting Cluckens Room. Special access is required to enter this area.

Mellee's Bookcase

Once a day, you can collect an item from the bookcase found inside the loft in Mellee's Clucken Barn. The loft is only accessible while wearing the Clucken Feather Wings, which must be purchased from the NC Mall.

Autropolis Gear Trees

Different items can be harvested from the gear trees in Autropolis. Just stand next to the trees and click, and you will receive a random item! Special access is required to enter this area.

Giant Crab Claws

Once a day, you can collect an item from the giant crab claws located in the Fantastic Fair. Special access is required to enter this area.

Fortune Teller Booth

Once a day, you can collect an item from the fortune teller booth located in Jiggybug Lagoon.

Clucken Cutout

Once a day, you can collect a coloured feather from the Clucken cutout located in the Counting Cluckens Room. Special access is required to enter this area.

Sunken Ship

Once a day, you can collect an item from the sunken ship located in the Swirling Seas. Special access is required to enter this area.

Prize Dispenser

Once a day, you can collect an item from the prize dispenser located in Trilluna's Spaceship. Special access is required to enter this area.

Wormhole

Different items can be harvested from the wormhole located in Lunaria. Just stand next to the wormhole and click, and you will receive a random item! Please note that you must be wearing the Time-Space Glove in order to harvest from the wormhole. This can be purchased in Trilluna's Closet, the shop inside Trilluna's Spaceship. Special access is required to enter this area.

Ancient Wormhole

Once a day, you can collect an item from the wormhole located in Ancient Lunaria. Just stand next to the wormhole and click, and you will receive a random item! Special access is required to enter this area.

Pinball Machine

Once a day, you can collect an item from the pinball machine located in the Secret Scrolls Club. Just stand next to the machine and click, and you will receive a Wish Pinball! Special access is required to enter this area.

Trick-or-Treat Cauldrons

In October 2011, you could collect exclusive Halloween candies from various trick-or-treat cauldrons that were located around the Park. Once-a-day single-player cauldrons were found at Founder's Cemetery, Knight's Keep, Petpet Plaza, Pirate Alley, and Snowflake Summit (requires Special Access keys or an active membership), unlimited two-player cauldrons were at Mt. Puka and the Wallington Courtyard, and the unlimited three-player cauldron was at the Pumpkin Patch.

Jack-O-Lantern Decoration

Once a day, you can harvest a different Halloween themed item from the jack-o-lantern decoration located in the Pumpkin Patch. Just stand next to the decoration and click, and you will receive a random item! Please note that you must be wearing the Kripske Pumpkin Patch Access Mask in order to harvest from the decoration. The mask can be purchased from the NC Mall.

Seed Bag Display

Once a day, you can collect an item from the seed bag display located in the School of Nature.

Mushroom Patch

Once a day, you can harvest a different mushroom themed item from the mushroom patch located in Knight's Keep. Just stand next to the mushroom and click, and you will receive a random item! Please note that you must be wearing the Mushroom Tea Hat in order to harvest from the mushroom. The hat can be purchased from the NC Mall.

Cotton Candy Tree

Once a day, you can collect an item from the cotton candy tree located in the Candy Chateau. Special access is required to enter this area.

Miscellaneous

These items are uneatable harvestables that do not fit any other category.

Seasonal Job Harvesting

Note: With the exception of the Plain White Egg, these harvestables have all RETIRED.

Clucken Egg Hunting

Some of Mellee's Cluckens have escaped, and now they are laying coloured eggs around the Park! To collect them, you need to complete the job "White Egg Collecting" (take a dozen of Plain White Eggs to Mellee) and equip the Rainbow Egg Collecting Basket you get as a reward. Then, look for the signs that are located all over the Park, the eggs are laying next to them.

With me you can collect beautiful coloured eggs!

After you complete the first seven egg collecting jobs for Mellee, take the Spool of Sewing Thread, the Broken Rubber Ball, the Old Rain Coat, the Soft Clucken Feather and the Plain Gloves to the Crafting Tree. He will make you the special item Magic Egg Collecting Gloves, which you can use to collect special eggs! (level 2 eggs, if you will ;) ).

Here's a list of the eggs and their locations. They are hidden at the same spot that solid coloured eggs are, just by the egg hunt signs :) :

Now you can collect Level 3 Eggs (patterned ones)! You have to first complete Mellee's jobs for the first and second levels of eggs, and take Alabriss Shoe, the River Pebble, the Magnetic Stars, the Soft Clucken Feather and the Metal Stick to the Crafting Tree, and he will make you an Egg Magnet. Equip it and you'll be ready to get those eggs!
